SudokuCracker Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how JMUreg ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the SudokuCracker mobile application (the "App").
Information the App processes
Camera images. If you use the scanning feature, the App requests access to your camera and processes the captured Sudoku image on your device to recognize the puzzle. We do not upload or retain your Sudoku images on our servers.
App activity and diagnostics. We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate feature usage and app performance. This may include app interactions, device and operating-system information, app version, approximate location derived from technical information such as an IP address, and identifiers assigned by the analytics service. We do not require you to create a SudokuCracker account.
Advertising data. The free version uses Google AdMob. Subject to your consent choices and applicable law, Google and its advertising partners may process device or advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to provide, measure, prevent fraud in, and personalize advertising. Ad-free subscribers are not shown banner or interstitial ads.
Purchase and entitlement data. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment-card details. We use RevenueCat to determine whether your ad-free entitlement is active. RevenueCat may process an app-specific user identifier, product and purchase history, subscription status, country or storefront, and related technical information needed to validate and manage the entitlement.
Local app data. Preferences and puzzle-related state may be stored locally on your device.
How we use information
We use information to operate the App, recognize Sudoku puzzles, provide and restore purchases, suppress ads for subscribers, measure feature usage, improve reliability, comply with legal obligations, and protect against fraud or misuse.
Service providers
We rely on the following providers, which process information under their own privacy terms:
- Google Privacy Policy — Firebase Analytics, AdMob, and consent management
- RevenueCat Privacy Policy — subscription and entitlement management
- Apple Privacy Policy — App Store purchases on Apple platforms
- Google Payments Privacy Notice — Google Play purchases
Your choices
You can deny or revoke camera access in your device settings. Where required, the App provides advertising privacy choices through Google's consent interface. You can reset or limit advertising identifiers using your device settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple or Google account. Removing the App deletes information stored only on your device, subject to operating-system backup behavior.
Retention and deletion
We do not operate an account database containing your Sudoku puzzles or camera images. Our service providers retain analytics, advertising, transaction, and entitlement records according to their policies and as needed for legitimate operational, fraud-prevention, accounting, and legal purposes. Purchase records may be retained by the applicable app store.
Children
SudokuCracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the App, contact us so we can review the matter.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their privacy terms describe the safeguards they use for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, its service providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date.
